It'll be a cold day in hell before CheekyMonkey is allowed back, under any owner. See, you might have had something resembling credibility were it not for that demand. Oh, and the fact that gul, markB, etc., haven't actually been punished for anything.

Not happening. She revealed personal information about someone who's real life is potentially threatened by such revealing, intermixed with slanderous lies. There ain't a soul on Wordforge who would let her back on board were they in charge.

*cue some smartass saying they would*

I think it's a bit overblown. How can an armed law enforcement officer have his real life threatened by having his info on the 'net?

I don't dispute the charge of revealing personal info, but I can't blame her if she was being railed and couldn't tell her side of the story without revealing it. Rock and a hard place.

She was being railed AFTER the release of personal information. Only vandygoddess, not a staff or "Eliteforge" member, was railing against her before that, and for all intents and purposes, CheekyMonkey won that. All other actions prior to that were just standard fare for the board. A catfight that had absolutely nothing to do with Elwood was the immediate predecessor to her releasing information.

Does the staff really believe that her story about a generic southern LEO from a random southern state who happened to tell a lie or two about his previous work experience actually endangered Elwood at all?

Not unless he lied on his resume as well, and is worried someone might leak word to his supervisors.

Heh.

No shit. I re-posted that thread where i revealed "life-threatening personal information" right here, on this very board, in the "getting to know your inner monkey" thread. It is the exact same thread that i posted at WF and for which I was banned.

If that is what Elwood considers real life information, isn't that an admission of guilt by Elwood that was she exposed was *true*?

Not really a cop. Well.

I remember a thread I started for him congratulating him on his promotion to Sargeant. Damn, I really am a sucker, aren't I?

I think the banning was retaliatory.

No wonder he was so shy in answering the question about permitting links if missmanners were to deny such personal info to be posted.

Here's the deal. That's the post that got her banned, yes? Not so much the exact post, really, but more fear that MORE personal info (real life name, address, phone number, etc) might be released later.

If the info in the linked post wasn't true, why worry about it at all? Why not just give her the usual Red Room treatment, harass her into the ground, and be done with it. Hmmm?

So you are suggesting we've done something punishment worthy? Christ, yet another foolish statement. Way to go, O2C!
