That's funny because I'm sure I remember reading that they were Tolkien's favourite chapters, or specifically the part where they first arrive and Frodo climbs up the...thing and Aragon's walking about remembering his time with Arwen there...you know what I mean.

Really? That's cool. I can't stand people who say there isn't enough action in LOTR :roll: I HATE THEM. Those chapters were really excellent this time round, for many reasons, the progression of the Fellowship and all their characters and the mythic nature of Lothlorien and the nature and history of the Elves. He just writes descriptions and emotions so very well. I enjoyed them immensely this time through, more than I can remember reading them in the past.
