The Leftovers

I watched the second one (might not watch the third for a while though OKAY.) It was funny how machines weren't working for Nora the same way they don't work for Gloria in Fargo!

Is Nora going to get through the machine and not even tell Kevin? That's pretty harsh.

So the bit with the Australian women at the end must be in the future because how else would know about the Book of Kevin already? Matt didn't put it online, did he? But Kevin's dad was there still alive and crazy so it can't be that far away.

Well, they explained the question I had in the third episode. It was the hardest one to get throught as it was all Kevin's dad (a couple of minutes of Matt) going around Australia being crazy. It's funny how when he first appeared he seemd to maybe have special knowledge (remember how he knew Jill was in the fridge) and maybe the voices he was hearing were real, but this episode pretty much confirmed that he's just nuts. And we still don't know what that National Geographic means (if anything!)

The Tony the Chicken story was the best part.

OMG he just rolled off the roof onto Chris and now he's in an ambulance. Poor Chris!

SHIT, he just got bit by his totem. lol

He is an idiot! He just pulled a catheter out, yanked it out!

Grace's story is the saddest.

I like the way this one ended.

Episode 4 - Kevin and Nora are over! I guess she'll track down the doctors now and die/depart. :(

I liked when Kevin dramatically ran up to a guy dressed as a kaola and asked for directions.

Kevin's probably destroyed Laurie and John's relationship too. Good job, Kevin.

Episode 5 - Frasier the Lion was real! I just looked him up. This was a good episode. I know Matt can be frustrating at times but he seemed to find some kind of peace after talking to "God". Or was it because this "God" was a fake and he got to watch him be eaten by a lion. Also this guy was the guy on the bridge in Kevin's dream last season so maybe he really was God and God's just an asshole. We'll never know! Putting Laurie on the boat with Matt was a good idea because they're natural enemies.

I wonder why the French guy nuked an uninhabitated island?

Episode 6 - Another great episode! Did Laurie kill herself? Or did she change her mind after her kids called? We probably won't find out! Her acting was really good too and probably EMMY WORTHY.

It's surprising how many answers we're getting. Like the French guy was trying to kill Godzilla. And my question about the boat. Okay they're not big answers but it's not like I'm expecting them to tell us what caused the departures or anything.

The woman at the start was the woman from the very first episode whose baby disappeared.

Yer penis, please sir. lol

I think that whatever happens in the last episode, this one was the real end.

I didn't find episode seven as good as the first international assassin episode in season two. Felt like they were just having a bunch of random stuff happening so they could say "NONE OF THIS MATTERED" at the end.

Yeah, it definitely wasn't as great as the one last season. I loved that one so much I watched it at least three times!

It felt more obvious that it was all a dream this time rather than being some mystical realm (but then how did Kevin know what Christopher Sunday looked like) and the only part that mattered was Kevin realising he's running away from Nora. But why spend so much time on the mythology if it doesn't matter?

I watched the finale. SPOILERS FOR CASSIE. DON'T READ.

OKAY?

Didn't I once say that all the departed went to a world where the other 98% disappeared? I'm sure I did! That's what Nora says happened. Of course we frustratingly don't get to see her in this other world, so there's the possibility she was lying. Why would she have lied though? I don't know! Carrie and Justin's acting was great and EMMY WORTHY as usual.

So Laurie didn't kill herself then. That's good. Shame Matt died and I guess that means God in the red hat wasn't really God.

It was a good series I'd recommend it to anyone reading this.

Tears leaked out of my face through most of the finale, lol.

My brother in law told me the finale was terrible and THE WORST THING EVER, so I was expecting it to be disappointing, but I thought it was sweet and I like the way it ended.

I guess! I felt like we got all the answers we were gonna get already. Kevin stopped the apocalypse when he killed his assassin-self. Nora, whether or not she actually went to the other place, found peace with the loss of her children. AND I think Kevin finding Nora and the show leaving it with the possibility that they will live out their lives together was the happy ending we needed.
