I planted one when I was five years old. I still have the scar today on my left hand. (I had absolutely nothing to do with releasable pull-tabs being outlawed in the UK although it was around that time)
 
I have a scar from a cat food lid with a pull tab! Cat was so hungry, meowing and I was like, "OKAY I"ll FEED YOU!" and I ripped that can top right off and into my finger, the cat saw blood and ran away. I still have a scar also.

Bastard things! (The can, not the cat)
