The minefield chose your own adventure

You post me now. ( Space) someone else will have to make that call. If she can get stuff to sell on eBay then he can justify trying to make a change.
Plus, Damn she insulted him,so he should just play it cool for now.
 
Jan went out onto the balcony of the hotel, and Bob followed her out.
From the 12th floor they could see for miles.
"You have a spaceship?" he asked incredulously.
"An hour ago you were still in the 20th century, this you have trouble believing?"
"Well I am slightly worried that it's invisible, and parked in mid air directly below this balcony."
"You park an invisible spaceship on the ground and people crash into it, believe me or don't, I'm jumping to the ship, if you don't join me I'm going to assume you want to stay in 2019, where your money is no good, and everyone thinks you are dead."
"Why would people think I'm dead?"
Jan hitched herself up onto the railing, sitting on the edge.
"When you left 1988 and came to 2019, there was no you for the years in between. They wouldn't find a body, but eventually everyone would assume you were dead."
"You said I could go back!"
"And you still can, but first you need to come with me, a leap of faith"

Jump or don't jump?
 
Bob's mind was reeling, a few hours ago he was watching Bruce Willis jump off a building, and he was about to do the same thing, without the benifit of a fire hose.

He took Jan's hand, and together they jumped from the balcony, they both screamed as they fell past the next floor, and the next, and floors below, too late he realised what a fool he been, as the ground rushed up to meet him.

At the last second there was a tingle like in the alley before and suddenly he was sat in a spaceship, the front window facing the room he had jumped from.

"missed it by that much" Jan said holding her finger and thumb close together.
"Get smart references, now?" Bob said, his heart racing.
"there's never a bad time for a Steve Correl quote"
"who?"

Explain modern comedy actor's or fly into space?

"Bruce almighty, the office, anchorman! Ring any bells?"
"Well I recognise the words, but without context you might as well be saying kangaroo, bananna, fandango."
"this is why I don't usually date men from the past!" Jan sighed.
She tapped a few controls and the ship shot up into the sky.
"I'M going to say some names, let me know when you recognise one"
"OK"
"Will Ferrell"
"No"
"Adam Sandler"
"Nope"
"Jim Carey"
"niet"
"Mike Myers"
"Yes!"
"Thank fuck! By the way, we're in space"

Stare at the majesty of the earth or fly to New York.
 
The ship turned around and Bob looked at the earth, they were far enough out that he could see the entire UK and a good chunk of Europe. The sun was glistening on the seas and rivers, and he could see the shadows of clouds on the land below.
Above the curvature of the earth he could see the stars in more clarity then he ever could on the ground.
"How far can we go in this?"
"Anywhere you can see, we can get to"

destination a planet in our system or another star.?
 
"How about we go to uranus?" Bob asked suggestivly.
Jan rolled her eyes and tapped a few buttons, and the ship started moving away from earth at a great speed, there was little evidence of this as unlike most Sci fi films and tvs, stars didn't flash by, or even move positions, just one star looking object got slightly bigger throughout their journey.
"This will take about 30 minutes, and there is a bed in the back of you're still feeling horny"
"I'm 18, if I'm awake I'm horny."


20 minutes later they were both sat at the back of the ship, with no one too see them naked there was little reason to put their clothes back on.
"I could really go for some cold coke and some chips about now."
Jan nodded, then walked over to console on the wall and tapped a few buttons, two seconds later a hatch opened and there was two glasses of coke, and two plates of chips.
Along with a salt shaker, a vinegar bottle and two forks.
" Whoah! " Bob said in amazement.
"Let's go to the front and eat there while we arrive."
Bob ate his chips which tasted perfect, and watched in awe as the gas giant was already bigger through the window than the moon appears in the earth's sky.
"What else can that thing make?"
"Anything, that fits in that hatch."
"if you can make anything why are you going back in time?"
"In order for that machine to make something it has to scan and destroy an original version first."
"Makes sense, I guess"
The planet was so close now, there was nothing visible from the windows that wasn't uranus.

Arrive at the planet safely, or run into trouble?
