That is absolutely correct. Unfortunately*, Germany is also the home of Mercedes Benz and BMW, who both race each other to develop and sell** cars that go about 1500 miles an hour, so the average autobahn is exactly like every other well-used highway (but with faster *swoosh*-sounds at around 2 am).


*figuratively speaking, I actually feel quite lucky about it
