I especially like the part w/ the car, where the child & wife (who happens to be driving) are swept up to heaven, leaving the poor unbelieving sap to regain control of the vehicle before it's too late.

That's actually who the Mormons go after these days (at least where I live). You've got the rich, old family Mormons like Romney, and then you have the poor, relatively new black families.
