I beleive I am both the feelgood newbie and the idiot spammer here however, I have learned in my time here to aspire and I hope one day to become an emormous bag of wind - issuing endless inside jokes and abandoning threads when anyone who isn't in on the joke pipes up. I also aspire to be known as thread killer. I aspire to create hundreds of duals and camp this website for all it's worth - posting little frownie faces on anything written by anyone not on the above mentioned inside joke.

Don't lose hope though, because I am getting more ambitious every day.

The word "discuss" has nothign to do with what has gone on at this site since the day I arrived.

"Disgust" on the other hand was as rampant as self loathing on that same day.

Sorry for derailing your thread Menty. Your diatribe was well thought out and on the money as far as I am concerned - and Ish will testify that two days back I wrote a similar thang in another place on this Internet as they are calling it.

That's what I loved about this board from the start, and that seems to be the essence of Menty's post, "it's no good without the funny". Well Menty, you're part of what's right with that funny, and the strings in the MF are truly unique, and entertaining, but you're omitting Gagh, and that's part of what the problem "was" in terms of how things have evolved to here. You and Eggs and Wacky (and all the rest of what appear to be the original gang) are so much less antisocial as a group than Gagh is as an individual.

My opinion is that Gagh is mostly responsible for the anger that evolved into this current "flame not funny" sequencing from a few clearly pissed off individuals. I've seen the dynamic, and experienced it, and while he may be one of the most longterm and prolific posters, his boredom and meanness were antithetical to the "post if it's funny".

I post here because I really have become quite attached to the posting styles of many who post here. I really love what many of you think, and enjoy the back and forth. I've made some friends, and I've learned what it means to be part of a community.

Really Menty, you were the third (shatna and lilac before) to offer me a welcome here, and I think you're on the money with what you see and what you want.

So I'm going to go study MF threads for awhile, because my pop culture references are even more embedded than some of yours :bigass:

You know absolutely nothing about me as an individual, other than what I chose for you to see here. This sort of drivel is extremely pretentious to say the least, jack, but then you'd do or say anything if you felt it would guarantee a mere grain of acceptance for you.

I on the other hand do not even care enough to consider a constructive reply. You don't deserve one following that sort of offal.

It's an opinion, not the truth. Everyone thinks different things - this is your observation, so it cannot be truth.

Since I have been practically absent for nigh on 4 weeks, it amuses me that you have found this vitriol in this time. Why would I care if you like me or not, jack?

You do NOT know me, it is as simple as that, therefore the opinions of a meaningless middle-aged man living thousands of miles away are hardly going to bother me are they?

I answer, because it amuses me to do so. You are the one who case so deeply about being mollycoddled to the bosom of an online community full of people you will never meet, nor ever care to meet.

So go ahead - get flaming / trolling, whatever. It will never, ever make the blindest bit of difference to me. Especially not, considering I will hardly be around to joust with your dribble anyway.
