The Sarah Connor Chronicles

What happens if Derek is still alive after Judgement Day? Will there just be two of him in the future (one older)?

I bet she does "service" John in the future but she could tell he wasnt' ready for the mind-blowing sex.

Well, she's still riding my cock without permission, and apparently she's one loyal ro-bitch. ;)

Yet another good episode. I have a sneaking suspicion this isn't the last we will see of Cromartie. As Wacky said, the actor is great and it was quite a lame way to die. Surely a 888 would be able to take more than a couple of emptied cartridges and a few shotgun blasts to the face? Seriously, an entire SWAT division couldn't take Cromartie out and this lame ending does? Stupid.

Also, he was an awful shot in this episode which was sucky. But meh.. The show is brilliant and I'm impressed that, as I have said before, they have refused to sell out. We all know the ratings are not looking good and yet they're still not just using the episodes for a lot of fanboy battles which is so easily how the show could have gone.

The plot threads are well done and sufficiently complex. It's really not a show that is easy to come in on half way through which may also be hurting it.

Can't wait for next week.

Who want's Terminator SEX?

Also, it looks like the TSCC poster is a direct ripoff of a picture used in a Sony ad campaign!

Methinks they should of copied it more faithfully!

Sony used nips in an ad campaign?

Not as good as last week. The time travel stuff was okay. You'd think Derek would have figured out that it was them who created Fischer. Torturing him in front of his future self wasn't a very good idea either, and why did Jessie leave him alive? She's seemed quite cold up until now.

Sarah's dream stuff was a bit pointless but maybe it's setting something up?

Ellison is pretty dumb delevering Cromartie (see, he will be back!) to Shirley Manson. But she must already know how the terminators work (being one herself) so surely she doesn't need him for that?

Oh yeah, WARREN.

Too much weird side shit going on!

This was another 'transition' episode. They're doing a good and bad thing with these. It means, on the up-side, shit-hot eps like last week's, "Mr. Furguson Is Ill Today," but they're based on steamers like this week's, and the previous week's (the one with the kid on the bowling alley) for setup and followup work.

What they need to do is tighten up the B and C stories that hold these bad boys up, so that in each episode you have setup/followup for one storyline while another storyline is running red-hot.

He was Mister Ferguson anyway?

Mr. Furguson was the teacher Cromartie was the "substitute" for in the pilot.

Hey, here's some funny ass shit. From the Wikipedia article on Cameron, under "unexplained behavior":

On the surface, Cameron's role mirrors that of Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in Terminator 2: Judgment Day: she is a reprogrammed cyborg assassin sent back through time to protect John Connor. As the series progressed, however, she developed into an enigmatic and inscrutable character, showing unusual behavior. For example, near the end of the fourth episode, Cameron rolls a truck filled with coltan off a cliff to prevent Skynet from ever using the stockpile to construct Terminators. However, at the end of the episode it is revealed that Cameron saved one bar of coltan.

Anybody think that's unexplained behavior? I don't. Know why?

The bars of coltan were from the factory where Cameron would later be built. If she'd trashed it all, then she would never have been built.

So nobody got the Blade Runner Voight-Kampf connection from this weeks episode?

Shame on you all!

Anyway, I thought that this weeks had a lot of interesting elements but I agree that it was a transition episode and that's highly annoying when you have to wait another week to further the story along.

And there is so much story in T:SCC to delve in to you can't help but feel a little disappointed with this one that resolved practically nothing.

I really want some more clues as to what the HELL the T-1000 is actually up to.

I fucking love this show though, despite its flaws.

On another note looks like Heroes is hemorrhaging viewers like no tomorrow, myself included, and Prison Break looks like it will come to an end soon so hopefully T:SCC will get some much deserved viewers to bolster its pitiful numbers. (something like 5 million this week which is still up from last week! :( )

The problem is that if you haven't followed the story from the start you're going to be totally lost if you try and jump in now. They need one of those 45 minute recap episode things that lets new viewers jump on board (NOT in place of a regular episode of course)

Oh well, next week...

It was funny when Cameron turned Ellison over into his front like a turtle.

I've never seen a turtle.

But I understand what you mean.

And taking John's virginity.

It was nice to have Summer Glau's feet make a special guest appearance. Especially after they'd become much a major character in Firefly.
