Well I think the was a scene filmed of Baltar writing it but they decided to make it ambiguous so that they could later make a plot point of it or somethign...but it was never mentioned agani.

At the very end of the mini series Adama found a note someone had put under his door which read "there are only 12 cylon models." It's not a plot hole, it was just never mentioned again.

OH.. I have the mini on DVD, I should watch the first season again. It was super awesome.
