Found a nice little town there not too far off from a decent-sized city. REAL good real-estate prices and a significantly higher percentage of "my people."
 
Hell if I know, nor care, neither. Only way I'm buying property there is once the screenplay sells, for a shit-load of a lot of money, and then the job prospects there won't matter. Live there in the summer and here in Tempe during the winter, take jobs as they come... won't have to be under the hell of nobody ever again.

The real estate prices here are fantastically low. Many historic houses here can be had for under $100,000. Some fixers go for $15K-$25K. I bought my three-story victorian for less than the price of my SUV.

The only place to avoid is Bozeman (Boze-angeles). Can't even buy a trailer there for less than half a million and it's always rush hour and traffic jams. Hollywood has taken a liking to Bozeman.
 
I'm not particularly all revved up about Montana. Lived very near Billings for a bit, didn't see anything there that just thrilled the shit outta me.
