This forum needs a competition!

[The Question]

Maybe an annual or semi-annual contest of some kind -- something to get that spirit of friendly competition behind our muses. Maybe a little ways down the road, we oughta start thinking of specifics on this.

I think it's a little premature to hold a contest now, but let's keep tossing around ideas in this thread, and in a few weeks/months we'll do something...

I'll find some sort of RL prize, as well...

Yea, you're prob. right...can we mess w/ your story I asked about?

I think it has comic book potential too.

In the event of an announced competition, would posters have to officially submit their works after the announcement, or would they have the option of selecting something they had already written?

As some people may be sensitive about the writing they present, it might be best simply to have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, instead of openly dissecting and criticising their submitted final product.
