Thread for Eggs to make himself smile

James Brown did a game show in 1975 -- with his wife, sharing personal stories...must have needed money bad...

I don't usually make posts like this, but this was a special circumstance

After a month of sitting at home making PowerPoint slides, I decided to go down to the Village to my favorite old piano bar to see old friends and sing some showtunes. Well, who should walk in tonight? Eric Stonestreet & Ty Burrell from Modern Family, Rich Sommer from Mad Men, and Kevin McHale & Darren Criss from Glee. (Kevin is sooo yum)

They were all so fun & friendly, and Eric was particularly kind, happily taking a picture with me (I'm not dumb enough to post it here ;) )

We all sang Chicago, Into the Woods, a wee bit of Rodgers & Hart & (ugh) Les Miz till last call. So glad I remembered what city I lived in for a night...where one learns to expect the unexpected around every corner. :)

I gotta leave this cave more often...even though it cuts into my breaking in this agoraphobia habit...

Last night I was in the chat just chatting and STUFF, the TV was on in the other room and I heard this song (the TV was on FOX and it was American Idol OMG) ANYWAY, I loved the movie Grease so much when I was a kid and I even bought the Grease soundtrack (A RECORD). So I looked up the video on YouTube and wondered if Grease makes Eggs happy. I HOPE IT MAKES EGGS HAPPY.

I probably saw this movie a hundred times.

I was in love with Olivia Newton John. I mean, seriously thinking that if I saved her from a car crash she would love me and let me fondle her puppies.

I must have been 8 / 9 years old and I remember my mother took me to see the film and was shocked at the language / teen pregnancy storyline etc. I don't think I even noticed.

I would have ruined it be getting drunk and shouting "STOP BEING MEAN TO JOAN" at him (actually, no, I wouldn't have gone in the first place.) Glad you had a good time!

When I was a kid I used to have a tape of songs I liked from movies and tv, grease is the word was on, along with the theme tunes to Heart to Heart, soap, hill street blues, taxi, and I think the Dukes of Hazzard was on there too.

Full disclosure: While chatting with Rich Sommer, I did ask him if he was going to push Don out a window sometime soon. He laughed. :D

OK enough starfucking.

I bought a new iPhone 5 this week for no good reason. It arrived yesteday and I've been setting it up ever since. It works, and I wiped my old iPhone 4 of all data, but I'm not sure if it's fully registered/active. It works, and knows what its number is( as does At&T), but iTunes doesn't necessarily recognize its number. OR SOMETHING.

The point is, now I have 64GB instead of 16 to stuff with music et al. And I no longer have to worry if an app is huge & bloated, like CRAZY TAXI. So I've been going through my 27,000 songs in iTunes to make sure all the GOOD stuf is organized and named properly and ordered and has the album artwork and SHIT.

Which leads me to my main point, that I'm listening to Buffy/Once More With Feeling for the first time in a while. Ahhhh.
