Have you looked around? It appears your and Volpone's formal reaching-out to TK representatives has caused Lanzman to reflect upon his own actions. He has unbanned both Hood and Polarslam! I guess the thought of active, positive diplomatic relations with TK was just too much.

This has been a very positive first step.

However as has been said before, Hood was just a catalyst. How are we to know that the mentality that led to the ban, and the response, has actually changed. Right now it just seems like TPTB realized they fucked up and are throwing us a bone to get us back. What's to stop this from happening again in six months? 12?

Personally I'm waiting for substantive changes before I go running home to mama. In the short term I'd like to see some sort of coalition government, with the likes of Evenflow, Tex, RJHJ, Pylades and/or other 'rebels' brought into the inner circle. I personally think Evenflow should be made PM (policy chief). This coalition government could then work on a long term solution such as Mod rotations, etc.


That's just my thoughts, everyone else is free to do what they like.




Oh and don't worry, TKs been good to us. Expect a good chunk to stick around. ;)
 
There were some nifty restructuring ideas last year; Volpone outlined a hierarchy structure of sorts. Beware. Bringing 'rebels' into the inner circle because you don't trust WFelite? This is a dark path. I predict (possibly wrongly) that this will not breed trust, but instead your collective suspicions will grow, and you not only begin to disagree over which posters constitute 'outsiders' but also suspect some outsiders of being 'plants.' You need to trust the people in charge and the system that puts them in charge equally. If you can trust the top (in general) the rest doesn't even matter.

I would trust Evenflow to not turn down the dark path were he put in power, which is why I put his name out to be in charge of policy. Also this would only be a temporary solution, as within a decent amount of time a rotation would be put in place. As long as a good cross section are selected to be in the rotation pool (again, some of those names I listed above would be good, CD should also be added), I don't think it matters so much who owns the board.

A good and interesting meetup, all told. It was surprising. Because I sort of figured that Gonad was a guy. But it turned out he was actually a panda bear. This totally blew my mind, because I didn't even know pandas could type.
 
He had to leave early because he mauled the cocktail waitress when she said they were out of bamboo. :ramen:

Jesus Christ! She's not that much taller. It's barely half an inch. I'm just shy of 6'1" and she's just barely over it.

WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY SHE IS SO MUCH TALLER THAN ME?!?!?1 ARRGGGG!!!!!!
