To Catch a Predator

Yes, that is true. However, what these people in particular are doing - trapping child sexual predators - is a good thing. Just where will they draw the line?

they wont, people that high and mighty that would spend their time enticing supposed pedos likely have things of their own to hide...
 
If they're trapping authentic predators, then that's fair game, like any wild animal.

i do not like entrapment of any kind
however, i am all for vigilante justice
as for these people that make a tv show about ensnaring supposed pedos
cmon, they are just in it for being on tv and maybe making a little $
they could give a shit about saving kids, of that i am 100% certain
 
I don't know that they don't care - or at least started out caring. The host said that he thought they'd do a few shows, people would find out how vulnerable they are and pretty soon there wouldn't be any material for the show. But, there are at least a few of these guys that have been caught by the show more than once in a place they went to expecting to meet up with a young teen for the purposes of sex.

I don't have a problem with the show catching these guys.

Sounds interesting, tho exploiting kids for entrapment purposes is sick.
 
It says something about our culture, that such a show would have any kind of popularity...

And most likely, not something good.
 
I don't think there's anything wrong with entrapping pedos, I just don't understand why it has to be on tv.

Will we get to see telivised executions next?

From the way the host described it, it seems they thought showing on TV the pervs being caught in the act would deter other pervs from personal contact with children they meet in online chat rooms.

Therein is the dilemma. Most of us agree that catching pervs is a good thing. However, where will the line be drawn? And who is making the list of the things we will jointly engage in to trap someone doing?
 
Good they are not using kids, i remember in teh 90's a tv crew trapping predators by using kids in parks, then pouncing when they tried to take them away.
Which isnt 2 different from using CP to catch pedo's online.

I like this show, these MOFO's deserve what they get....catch as many as possible I say!

Shit, there are teachers and all getting done with this show....what a great idea, screw teh ethics of entrapment!

as a matter of fact, a show like this only is likely improve a real pedo's game
i even imagine the real predators out there love a show like this
