To the Democrats

Why do you think Obama and his wife hate this country?

Last night my stepfather said "Obama's building an army in Canada so he can take our guns." Should we take that statement, made by an idiot, as further proof of Obama's messianic quality? Come on.. there are fruit loops all over the place, and they say stupid shit. Thank Jebus there wasn't a news crew at the dinner table.

The most telling quote came yesterday from a black woman in Sarasota, FL. She said, and I quote:

"Now I don't have to worry about putting gas in my car. Now I don't have to worry about paying my mortgage. I took care of Him, and He'll take care of me."

That my friends, sums up the near-messianic quality with which Obama supporters view their candidate, our new President-elect. They'll either be rudely awakened, or simply blame his failings on other (white) people in Congress & the Senate. "Take credit for everything good, and shift the blame for everything bad" is the motto of Liberal Democrats, especially black Liberal Democrats.

God help us when the economy tanks even further.

Haven't the Republicans been blaming Clinton for everything bad that's happened the last 8 years?

Obama and his wife openly hate this country. They disrespect the citizens and have zero tolerance for simple traditions like saluting the flag. They will do what the Clintons did while Bill was in office. They're gonna spend half his term in office OUT OF THE COUNTRY.

Kind of like Bush wiping his ass with constitutional rights.

Oh, by the way, Bush has spent more time flying around in Air Force one outside of this country than any other president in recent history.

Um, no, we haven't. Where did you get that?

Um, yes they have. They've blamed the current economy on Clinton sending jobs overseas. They've blamed 9/11 on Clinton's failure to get Osama.

Republicans have been real good at shifting the blame for all their failings over the last 45 years.

hmmmmmmmm.... that makes me wonder what he knew that we didn't.

:duh:
mm

The single biggest problem I have with Liberal Democrats is the hypocrisy that seems to have infused the party lately. Single-party control of the Executive and Legislative branches is wrong...unless the Dems are the ones pulling the strings. Meh.
I love how GOPers (I'm not pointing at you, I'm talking about flacks and politicians) suddenly made this an issue in people's heads in the last month or so, as a last-ditch effort to stop the tsunami they saw coming.

They certainly didn't mind single-party control from 2001-2006, and weren't raising a ruckus about it or even being slightly reflective. To say it only goes one way is just silly.

Not just Clinton. They've blamed Democratic presidends for the last 30 years.

It really started in 1977 when President Carter signed the first bill into law expanding the 1975 Housing Act that required Federal help to those seeking home loans "without regard to the economic level of the families involved." Then expanded even further by AG Janet Reno via a MOU (memorandum of understanding) in August of 2000 between the the Treasury Department, Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Justice. Wherein it granted the Department of Justice the power to prosecute lending institutions for discrimination if they denied loans to folks irrespective of their ability to repay said loans. It was then signed into law by President Clinton, which allowed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make loans to individuals and families who previously would not qualify. Meaning the new customers' abilities to pay back loans was in question. In 2005 the US House of Representatives began investigating Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. On 17 occasions between 2003 and 2007, President Bush tried to get Congress to crack down on the loans these two companies were making. It was between 2005 and 2007 that the CEO's of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Citigroup, et al. made their biggest earnings coincidently just before having to declare the millions of write-downs during the fourth quarter of 2007. Franklin Raines, Senator Obama's financial advisor, walked away with over $90 million between 1998 and 2003.

That little blurb was put together by my mother doing independent research. She's no journalist by any stretch of the imagination. Though, she does have a bumper-sticker that reads "member of the vast right-wing conspiracy".

Why do you think Obama and his wife hate this country?

1. She said so on national Television.
2. He refuses to salute or participate in the national anthem. I know that's nit-picky, but is it so wrong to hold your hand over your heart?
3. Democrats are notorious for going on Diplomatic envoys to other countries.
4. Sarek, you're wrong. Clinton is the one president with the most out-of-country time.
5. Obama's tax reform ideas are anti-capitalist and therefore anti-american.

Let's face it folks, one third of our voting populace just elected a man who has a deep-seated contempt for this nation. We're screwed.

Whatever you're drinking, I would trade up to a fancier brand. This one leaves side-effects.

The super-nitpicky aspect is that you are supposed to hold your hand over your heart for the pledge of alliegance, not the national anthem.

In the military you salute. As a citizen you put your hand over your heart. It's a sign of respect.

Here's our president elect looking like a complete nonce.

It was valid of the GOP to question the validity of his citizenship.

He blames this on being a muslim or having muslim upbringing because they don't believe in doing such things. He refuses to wear a flag pin or respect the flag whatsoever. That flag is a symbol of freedom and justice for an entire nation. His disrespect thereof is a spit in the face of many who have served so he can stand there like the candy-assed monkey he is. That flag is the reason he's even able to be a president. Otherwise he'd still be out in the fields averting his eyes from this.

Granted. I don't like a lot of traditions most people hold dear, but putting your hand over your heart as a sign of respect for the men and women who gave you the rights to RUN FOR PRESIDENT isn't asking much.

I'm sure his advisers will have him doing it by the inauguration.

God forbid anyone in politics should be honest about themselves.

Hey, I don't like Thanksgiving, Easter, or Christmas.

They're all outdated Christian Holidays. However, you don't see me at the mall holding a sign next to the Santa pavilion that reads "There is no Santa Claus. Your parents are liars. Learn Early." Although, I have to admit I'm more and more tempted each year after I see the first store set up its Christmas displays in motherfucking October.

Yet, you'll still see me up there with my hand over my heart during the national anthem. Not because it's expected of me, but because it's a TOTALLY HARMLESS tradition. One that doesn't require the giving of gifts, pageantry, or fights at Toys 'R' Us over a friggin' doll.

As for honest politicians, I might as well start believing in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. They're all equally as real.

Putting your hand over your heart for the national anthem for the purposes of tradition is similar to making grammatical and pronunciation errors for the purposes of tradition. Sure, everybody around you might have been saying "nucular" for generations but it is still incorrect.
