Yub, I know lots of people have had problems with their tonsils , but they form part of the body's lymph system, which helps the body fight disease. Studies now indicate that tonsils are particularly important in fighting off respiratory infections . Where I live the trend in the past was to summarily remove 'em. Now, not so much.
I am personally of the opinion that all the stuff in my body is there for a reason and I don't want any damn fool doctor telling me "Oh you don't need that let's have it out."
I've got to get them first. Going to the Walk-In at the Quack's tomorrow. Given that the nasty things are covered in blisters and sores, I can't see them saying no, and believe me, no booze is not a biggy. I've never felt like I need it at any point.
I still have mine, and according to my doctor, they're the size of Idaho potatoes, and that's when I'm not sick. But it's too dangerous to get them out as adults. I've had two friends go through the surgery, and had serious complications after. The bleeding wouldn't stop on one friend, he nearly choked on his own blood. YUMMY
