I want to smell dark matter
I was going to post a thread about how my teeth and jaw hurt but I will NEVER go to a dentist ever and will "cure" it with painkillers but then I read that SIMON PEGG IS PLAYING SCOTTY WTF?
 
Just go to the dentist
 
I don't like the dentist either, but it's better than having a toothache.

I say give the guy a shot.

Comedy actors are the best actors. Any real actor will tell you that comedy is 10 times harder to pull off than drama.

Everytime I picture Pegg talking in a scottish accent it just seems like a comedy bit from Spaced. BUT MAYBE HE'LL BE COACHED BY EWAN MCGREGOR OR SOMETHING.

He's worked for Speilburg (band of brothers)
Been in doctor Who, fought against a former James Bond, the equilizer, and zombies!
Fired off a shitload of guns, been in mission impossible and now star trek.

If he lands a roll in the star wars TV show he just may become the hardest core acting geek in teh world.
 
Or when Lost or Heroes reaches its ultimate finale, he can play the BIG BAD GUY WHO WAS BEHIND EVERYTHING ZOMG
 
Why did anyone's mind go to him for Scotty? Surely Sean Connery should do it ;)
 
Connery should play Zombie Sarek.
 
But did they seek out Pegg, or did Pegg seek out them?

Pegg was in Mission Impossible 3 directed by Abrhams and some (on TrekBBS) have pointed out that has character was a kind of "engineer" type...though really his character in that was just Marshall from Alias, who's nothing like Scotty.
