Silly pictures. Who has who?

Buckaroo!
Put the pieces on before the hoss bucks. Weep as mum hoovers the pieces away never to be seen again.

Connect 4
The closest to child chess modern games have come to. An eternal classic.

6.
Hungry Hippos
More fun when using anything other than the little plastic balls the set came with.

5.
Trivial Pursuit
The first game to evoke family-wide arguments. Still a source of enjoyment when beating people online.

Mouse Trap.
Hours to set up. Minutes to play. Lost more pieces than Buckaroo in record time!

3.
Operation
Great fun and the first source of potential "horror" to kids. Stick the bones in. Watch it buzz.

Kerplunk
The marbles were great to use elsewhere. You could stick the sticks in your older sisters when they pissed you off. Wicked.

Monopoly
Who hasn't tried the little top hat on, or got juvenile lead poisoning chewing on the pieces?

Never played it as a kid. First played it at Senior School when I was about 15, and never played it since.

Trouble (played it a few million times in my life)

The Game of Life

Yahtzee (playing whole cards at once for a penny a point)

Trouble I played sometimes, but our set broke quickly. Yahtzee never caught on. Pass the Pigs, however, did!

One of the best kid card games I ever played was Mille Bournes, not only taught us basic driving rules like right of way and stop and speed limit, but also taught us that it was better to go 200 miles per hour when nobody was looking.

I think I still have the metal ballbearing that came with mousetrap, and for some reason, the rickity stairs.

I have bad memories of Moustrap, probably because when I was in junior high and having to see a shrink, she used to make me play that fucking game.

I would play it just to set it up and watch it go, I don't think I ever played the board game that came with it.

I was a bit like that with Kerplunk, which I loved to play by myself, and just setting it up.
