I want to smell dark matter
YES, my new year's resolution is to become utterly consumed in the fire of my "ranking female celebrities" obsession by writing a new list EVERY WEEK in 2009 and updating the Wacky Hot One Hundred (overall rankings using data going back to November 2007) more frequently. So let's get started with a NEW YEAR TOP TWENTY SPECIAL!
1) Natalie Portman - I wonder if anyone else ever top the list in 2009? The best of them all. Of us all.
2) Michelle Trachtenberg - My esteemed colleague The Tomtrek pointed out recently she just does not take bad photos. Consistently great performance in 2008, deserves to be right at the top (although not above Natalie, obviously!)
3) Eva Green - No justification necessary.
4) Emma Watson - Obviously realising that sexy photoshoots is what's going to keep her known when the Potter movies finish. Good on her!

6) Anna Popplewell - Look at them tits and lips!
7) Kristen Stewart - I don't care if she's in crappy emo vampire movies, she's got an aura.
8) Katie McGrath - Because I meant to include her last time but forgot. Deserves recognition!
9) Lena Headey - Summer Glau gets all the attention (not that she doesn't deserve it), but she's nearly as hot and needs a good ranking, really.
10) Anna Paquin - COULD 2009 finally be the year when I stop over-rating Anna!?
11) Freema Agyeman - Because I just watched a bit of the Doctor Who at the Proms and she looked nice.
12) Summer Glau - Dangerous robot! Will surely be seen a lot more in 2009.
13) Trish Stratus - Based entirely on her brief return to RAW last week.
14) Cate Blanchett - That's right. She's beautiful.
15) Rihanna - Token pop slut (except I already included Lily Allen, didn't I? Oh well.)
16) Ellen Page - Cute as a little shoe.
17) Hayden Panettiere - Looked cute in those pics with the creepy Santa.
18) Kristen Bell - Wasn't going to include her EVER AGAIN then I saw those Fanboys promos where she had dark hair.
19) Alexis Bledel - Based on the research I did after Hambil mentioned her name.
20) Megan Fox - Just to annoy people that don't like her.
