You have to make it marketable to the average viewer. Not just the (pardon me, gals) Twilight tweens who stayed up past their bed time to sneak a view at the ppv channels when their parents are asleep. This is a show for adults and, from what you're saying, a lot of the content in the novels was written for young women who are into dark-sided bad boys who feel melancholy at their vampiric state in life. Sorry, but there's enough romance novels out there without the sanguiphilia. I like the ass-kicking, drug-dealing, pole-smoking, queeny nigga. He is probably the most complex character on the show so far.
I'm really hoping that at least one of these characters, who is not antagonistic, enjoys their immortality and has fun.
