True Blood 1.6 "Cold Ground"

We must help curiousa!!!!

it's never been this slow before; apparently 22,000 peeps in the western hemisphere want to watch this ep too.

At least I started planting bulbs yesterday and began fall clean-up around the garden.

talk about delayed gratification. *sigh*

62%. :(

Talk about patience.

!00%!
sitting down with my coffee and...GO!

be back in a while...

:D

Woohoo! Enjoy!

ok, what an ep..

KLEENEX TIME when Sookie was cleaning the kitchen by herself.

The writer was a little more unkind with the town than Harris is in the book; in her version they genuinely were focussed on mourning Adele Stackhouse. And what was the point of having the uncle show up and not explaining why Sookie was so upset?

I also grinned @ the girl time remark "c'mon Lafeyette" scene. he looked soooo handsome at the funeral!

Well, completely different twist on Bill and Sookie finally getting together. Too rushed, IMHO.

I loved the scene with Bill and "Doggie" standing guard together. I think they understand each other perfectly now.

awww...Tara and her Mother....that was well-written.

^I think they felt that they needed to get Sookie with Bill faster so they can increase the danger to her, and allow Eric to become more...involved, shall we say.

Speaking of my favorite Norseman, he's in the episode next week. Wonder if he figures out that Jason is Sookie's brother.

For the life of me, I can't remember Terry Bellefleur from the books. I know Andy has a sister, though, but we haven't seen her.

All in all, a pretty good episode. I thought it was great of her eating Gran's pie by herself. And was that peanut butter in that pecan pie? Lord save me!

so who's dog is that, anyhow? isn't that one of the evil (older) vamp's familiars? hmm....

the dog is

Sam Merlotte; he's one of the shape-shifters

isn't he the one who does the handyman jobs around the house for Sookie later?

Tisi, remember when Lafayette was talikgn about the energy we put into the food? I think Sookie needed to eat the pie that Adele made to get enough love and courage from her (gran) to go out and not be afraid of Bill anymore and do what her heart told her to do (per the conversation she had with Gran after she told Bill they couldn't see each other any more).

the more I think about it, the more I like this ep for so many reasons.

But we had to look at Jason grunting and groaning and banging up the furniture for weeks and all we get is a 2 minute segment of Bill an Sookie together at last!?!?!?!

Yay! Glad you finally got to see it.

I think this was probably my favorite ep so far.. and not just because Sookie finally got laid. It was well done, with lots of emotion. Also, the parts about Tara weren't annoying at all, like they almost were in the beginning. I am interested in her and her mom's story now.

I love Bill, but the rest of the hissy vamps irk me.

just you wait...you aint seen nuthin yet....

Ah, yes...I believe you are right about Terry. I may have to skim the books, though, because it's really bugging me that I can't remember him. Loved how he was bawling at the funeral, though.

The pie eating makes total sense. I'm just not deep enough to see that as the reason why she was eating the pie. ;)

And yeah, Ishy...you ain't seen NUTHIN!!!!!! <wg>

Still don't like it much, despite tits.

well i don't know about that! you were deep enough to be scandalized at the thought that there might have been peanut butter in it!
Lord save me! LOL! ;)

yeah, what kind of pie was that? it was pecan (obviously) but the filling was much to soft for a trad southern pecan pie.

THE PIE HAUNTS ME.

The producers don't know about pecan pie.. they did the best they could!

I MUST KNOW THE RECIPE
