See, I thought Lost was great, but now I don't care about it. Same with Heroes.

that's what i'm on about, if a show is awesome out of the gate, it usually starts to slide just when you're hoping it gets even better.

the lesson to learn here: start your next show with an incredible premise and fantastic actors, but rough execution. then make it better and better as you go. do not, repeat, do not make it really really awesome from word one or we, the fans, will kill you with passive aggressive non-watching in the seasons to come.

Yeah, LOST is taking so fucking long to materialize - then as Wacky pointed out, is on fr eight seconds, and I start to think how is it worth the effort of my watching when they can't make the effort to have it on!!?
So far Dexter is hanging in there.


Back to True Blood:

Ish, it's even worse when you've been loving a series of books for years and then there's a show made of it - REALLY hard to reign in the expectations then!

And must say - the casting has been BRILLIANT...I wonder if Charliane Harris was sitting in on the auditioning process cos I cant imagine her choices would be much different from what's on the show. That adds to the emotional investment, cos the readers already have their favourite characters well - embeded after all these years.

EP 9 : gods, that scene with Sookie covered in blood was GROSS. Pam's funny: "you have some vampire in your cleavage".

We're starting to see the shift in power between Bill and Eric as far as Sookie is affected....

Poor Tina!

Ginger is so cheap and annoying.. I want to pull her hair.

I hope Eddy the Vamp gets Amy! (But puts her bosom in a jar for you Wacky).

And yes it's a very good point: WHY cant Sookie read that freak Amy's mind??? Wot the hell.

Well, I guess Sookie's gonna learn there are shape-shifters now......

Pretty good episode. I wondered if Sookie accidentally drank any blood when Longshadow died, but they didn't follow that up.

The sex scene effects are cheesy, but that doesn't bother me. You get what they're trying to put across.

I've noticed over the last few episodes they've been playing down Sookie's telepathy. Did she use it at all this episode?

Her powers seems a bit inconsistent: sometimes she's walking around the bar and she can hear EVERYONE, sometimes she has to try really hard to read individual people, sometimes it's just not there at all.

She has a hard time controlling that when she is upset. Maybe when she is really happy she can block everyone out? I DON'T KNOW.
