I know I'm way off the mark, but as many of you know, I tend to eschew watching TV shows as they come out weekly, preferring to wait for the boxsets.
I've gone through True Blood Series 2 in 2 sittings - it's truly shaping up to be an exceptional series. Firstly, the relatively small number of episodes per season for a US Series suits it perfectly.
Secondly, the series is spoiled with some great actors. This isn't unusual for TV - it's amazing how many good actors are left to TV, and never pitch up in movies.
Anna Paquin, is of course, excellent. Ryan Kwanten is great as the dim Jason Stackhouse. All through Michelle Forbes is awesome in everything, and appears to have simply stopped ageing. Alexander Skarsgård is fucking awesome as Eric Northman - a man so unbelievably pretty, even I find him good looking.
Rutina Wesley - great. Sam Trammell - Great. Hoyte's Mum is also great. The only one who doesn't do much for me is Stephen Moyer. I don't get 'leading man' feelings from him.
Looking forward to Season 3 now - I hope they don't kill Eric off!
