Two and a Half men + Charlie Sheen Meltdown Watch

headvoid

Can I have Ops?
Is it really crap?

Charlie Sheen has just been described on the BBC as one of America's highest paid stars.

I presume that means that the show is incredibly good, no?

I saw the first few, they were mildly amusing, but I wasnt heartbroken when I stopped watching.

the show is incrediblely cancelled, now. News is Sheen just went on a kamikaze rant this week that inspired Chuck Lorre to end the series.
Way to put the crew et al out of work, asshole! Not that Sheen cares - he was apparently getting a million bucks PER EPISODE.

I thought it was purile, but the minions all watched it so it must have had some appeal on some level.

Emphasis on the was.

Hope he put some away because hes not going to be very employable at the moment.

Why didnt they just kill his character off and call it one and a half men?

Or bring in some other obnoxious arsehole to play the same part?

I hear Mel Gibson is free.

It's only cancelled for the last 5 eps this season. I don't think CBS will do something so rash as to completely cancel the show. It's not even March, they'll let the show go on summer hiatus early, and then hope Cholly keeps his mouth shut and it blows over.

And...he actually makes $1.2 Million per episode, or a $26.4M per season. If ol' Carlos Irwin Estevez makes that much, you know CBS is making a shitload more. No way will they cancel it.

As far as the quality...I would say it's mildly amusing, at best. But then, I don't find many traditional sitcoms to be funny.

I never found it remotely funny.

But...but...John Cryer playing a straight guy is downright hilarious!

I've never watched a single episode!

Is it really crap?

Yeah it really is.

It has amusing moments here and there (even a broken clock is right twice a day), but overall it's not a good show.

LOL - sorry BDM - I was just citing approximations off the top of my head - cuz, other than feeling badly for those who need the steady paycheck - I really don't give a shit!

Looks utter shit from the adverts I've seen, it's like...

Charlie: OH GOD I'M HAVING A THREESOME WITH TEN GIRLS AND A DUCK.
Charlie's Nephew: I want to be just like you!
Charlie's Brother: Great, he's mainlining herion through his eyeball now!

They ruined the Charlie character by having him get married at one point.

The kid on that show is not remotely amusing (he was for a while).

Sadly like most sit coms it has a laugh track. I dislike those. I do not need to be told when to laugh.

The show is marked towards people in the suburbs who probably think American Idol (past the early fuck up auditions bit) is amusing. So that should tell you everything.

Basically it's a stale Odd Couple ripoff, sprinkled with tasteless sex and fart jokes. I've never truly laughed at an episode. Mostly I flip away, and continue to wonder what the hell America finds so satisfying about this drivel. Especially now in syndication, where the reruns are EVERYwhere.

The President of the US makes $400,000 a year. The kid makes $400,000 a week. WTF.

Thing is, CBS is making money hand over fist now anyway. Read this some place just yesterday, "There's CBS and then there's everybody else." If I were Sheen, I'd not push my luck. His show isn't carrying the network. It's successful [#1 comedy I think], but it's not carrying the network.

Perhaps the show will just fade away...

I've never seen it, but from the trailers it looked like another one of those crappy old fashioned sitcoms with cheap gags you can see coming a mile away.

THE VICAR'S COME ROUND FOR TEA.

IT'S A GOOD SHOW AND THAT CHARLIE WILL BE MISSED
