I'd sort of whimsically dipped in and out of the show over the weeks, but the last episode was really good. Justin's voice is amazing! Shame it'll break soon and he won't sound half as good, but there you go.. least he can act.

Not sure why they killed his dad, though. There was way more they could have done with him accepting Justin's flamey gayness. Should've killed boring Daniel.

I saw one episode it looked ok, but there was other stuff on.

I was just kinda suprised it was still on for whatever reason.
 
Other than Heroes, Ugly Betty has been one of the highest rated new shows on television.

It will be tough for them to make 5 seasons out of it that are as good as season 1, but I guess the same could be said of Heroes, and a lot of people said it about Lost, too...

I have to watch the UB season finale, I missed it. :( I'll rectify that today.
 
5 seasons?! Okay.. I can't see it lasting that long unless start really shaking things up. It's already a bit formulaic with the story usually being that there's a problem at mode, Daniel's otherwise disposed and Betty has to clean up the mess.

The finale was very good, though.
 
Well the telenovela it was based on only lasted 3 years, but that's still a lot of stories to be pillaged if need be.

If 8 episodes of "Queer as Folk" can turn into a 5-year series on US TV, I guess anything's possible.
 
The guy who plays Daniel Meade was on tv today and said he thought the novella(which I didn't know had existed..) probably ran out of steam before Betty and Daniel got together, so that wouldn't be happening in the US show.
 
Daniel and Betty do not belong together. I think it would be a big shark-jump to go there. They should develop a strong brother-sister thing, and she should become the power behind the power, but I just don't see any chemistry there.

And not because she's "ugly", but because it just wouldn't be believeable.
 
Mmm, he's too shallow(with a bit of heart). Betty belongs with the nerdy cute guy. He's cute.
