Lohan contacted over career in politics

Politicians in New York have told Lindsay Lohan that they want her to run for public office.

New York State Independence Party officials have contacted the Mean Girls actress and party girl about the possibility of starting a career in politics in 2009.

"Many celebrities have made the transition from Hollywood to politics," party leader Frank Morano explained in a letter to the star. "Few, if any, though, had the enormous potential that you possess."
