The Captains would've been nothing without Avery Brooks. I love the bit when The Shat asks if there's life after death. Avery Brooks just looks at him, grins and plays a little piano improv.

To his credit, The Shat manages to interpret it. "The music... Plays on?"
 
We could try to look at this another way.

Perhaps Picard got caught up in one of those Star Trek time warp things and ended up back in old New York around 2013 and the foot person is Vash.

Patrick has reason to be high all the time -- after he went through all that trouble to get his cable set up with Time Warner like the rest of us, now Time Warner is in a fee dispute with CBS and has blocked all CBS channels, including Showtime and The Movie Channel.

We're missing Under the Dome. And Dexter and Ray Donavon. Also some US Open tennis matches, plus NFL preseason football (the season starts next weekend, and this dispute has been going on for a month). Also, Homeland will be debuting soon on Showtime, and all the CBS shows will be having their season premieres soon (Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Two 1/2 Men, The Good Wife, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Mentalist, the CSIs, the NCISs, Elementary, Person of Interest...also LETTERMAN and CRAIG FERGUSON...also the new Robin Williams/Sarah Michelle Gellar show.

IT SUCKS. I'D GET HIGH TOO IF WOLFY STILL LIVED HERE.
 
Technically I wasn't missing them because I don't watch them.

BUT I WAS MISSING BIG BROTHER sort of even tho there are tons of ways to watch it live online SHHHH

But all is well now. The parties have agreed to terms and I have my channels back. Yippee.
