Universal Healthcare

Universal health care is a grand idea but our government would fuck it up for sure.
 
Bad dog - I adore you but that poop spewing avatar has lost that "WTF" appeal and is now just really gross.

I'm all for free health care as long as I get to be a recipient instead of the one that gets stuck paying for it for someone else.

Cow, what are the factors that make American health care per person higher than that for Canadians?

How many illegal immigrants are taking advantage of the Canadian free health care system?

What kind of liability insurance premiums are the doctor's paying? How litigious are Canadians when it comes to medical malpractice claims?

What kind of taxes does each person contribute to pay for the health care system? Just because funding comes from a general fund does not mean the taxpayers aren't footing the bill for it.

How is service determined? I mean, if I have just an upper respiratory infection, what kind of time do I have in triage? Are there different facilities for different levels of care? Example: a clinic for upper respiratory infections and an emergency room at the hospital for appendicitis so that everyone is being seen, not just the immediate life threatening cases.

Also, are the doctors good doctors?

If one of the candidates offered a universal health care plan that I knew would make it past Congress, they'd get my vote in a New York minute.

oh rly? do u really want the US gov to run health care??? they r the same 1's that run social security, post office, and dmv. so lets see, the $$$ 4 social security is disappearing and will b gone in 15-20yrs, post office iz slow and they lose ur mail, and dmv makes u wait 4ever in line just 2 get your picture taken. us gov running health care, now that iz when u r screwed.

I didn't say that the state paying for your healthcare expenses is "good". Now pay attention, I said that it's ridiculous to say that someone was poo-pooed and "sent home to die" because they did not have an HMO or PPO, etc. As I stated, I was in between healthcare providers (uninsured) and was treated as well or better than every other patient in that private hospital. There are programs for the uninsured with serious illnesses, I'm not saying a doctor is going to come to your house or you'll be living in the finest rest home but they cover your care and treatment. Believe me when I tell you, blood sucking HMOs are more likely to laugh evily and watch you suffer and die than a state or county run hospital.

All of that aside, seriously, if you incur $10,000,000.00 in medical debt declare bankruptcy, not a big deal, believe me. The medical establishment will get a big fat write off and you'll make it out alive.

They why does almost every major industry in the US like the airlines, telecommunications, power and health care industries all suck ass? BTW, all 4 were part of the major deregulation by Ronny, and all have experienced catastrophic financial downfalls which resulted in bankruptcy, and or bailouts by the taxpayers.

Let me get this straight, the industries mentioned were deregulated by Ronald Reagan, yet only NOW do they fail, and yet they were not responsible for their own demise? Fuck, but you are a moron.

Canada has heavy regulation of our airways, yet STILL Air Canada, and other airlines have suffered. Stupid fuck.

I absolutely believe in regulation, HEAVY regulation, but do NOT for a moment blame deregulation soley for the demise of the above industries. Blame American stupidity.

If you'd read the entire post you pole smoking fuck stick, you'd come to the realization that I was correcting a LARGE misrepresentation by LG. And if you weren't such a brain dead moron, you'd read up on the issue before looking like an ass. The airlines started tanking while Ronny was still in office and they were responsible for their own downfall because of their inept corporate policies.
