Actually, he called them "some rough lookin' girls." One of his co-hosts called them "nappy headed hos" and he repeated it, sounded like on reflex.

Of course, they were some nappy headed hos, but apparently there are just some circumstances where ya can't tell the truth and get away with it.
 
That guy was fired for being a senile old fuck with a strong contract. Once he gave them a reason...that was it. No huge loss, not because of the nappyhead thing but because he'd long since stopped being anywhere close to entertaining.
 
Last I heard he was doing a show in New York or something.
 
I don't know, maybe satellite.
 
I never saw the big deal about what he said.

And yes I know it was racist, but if you don't like what he says, just tune to another station.

I do however support the right of his employer to have fired him for it.

No, I'm quite familiar with Don Imus. I just didn't get the reference to Deedra liking Vienna sausages.

I don't even see how what he said was racist. Unless only blacks are allowed to use the word "nappy" -- but, really, THAT would be racist -- pretending a white guy can't say that word about black women -- not the fact that the white guy said it.
