Yep, it's a fine Spamstitution, and I would love to see if it actually works or not.
(LOL, isn't it weird how it seems that those who talked the loudest about change and independence now can't be bothered? D'you think they've *gasp* trolled us all those months? ;) )
 
Tweaked again.

We, the citizens of the Badlands, declare this Spamstitution law. These are the guidelines for the selection of the moderator within this forum.

1. There is a master list of those who are citizens and this list may only be updated by missmanners or the current moderator.

2. Those members who are on the master list of citizens are the only citizens. No exceptions.

3. New citizens may be added before the next election.
A) Only valid and current citizens may nominate another for citizenship.
B) Each citizen may only nominate one new citizen per election.
C) Citizens added between elections have no vouchers to add other citizens until the completion of the current election.
D) A minimum of three citizens may petition to overturn a nomination for a new citizen. The decision will be made by the current moderator.
E) To be added as a new citizen you must have made a thread, or posted within the Badlands within a month before the election.
F) Dual accounts (sockpuppets) may be nominated for citizenship.
G) The cutoff time to be nominated as a citizen is 72 hours prior to the election.

4. The citizens chosen in the latest election are to be grandfathered into the next election.

5. Those citizens who emigrate from the Badlands can be stricken from the list of grandfathered citizens by a majority yes/no vote.
A) A citizen who has emigrated must not have posted within the Badlands for a period of one month.
B) A current citizen must nominate someone for an Emigration Vote.
C) Just because someone is unliked does not qualify them for an Emigration Vote.
D) Emigration Votes will be held seven days prior to the election.

6. Nominations for moderator may be submitted in any form the citizen chooses.
A) Nominations should have proof. Claiming you PM'd missmanners or submitted your nomination via MSN chat is not sufficient.
B) Proof need not be furnished unless the citizens disagree with the elected official.
a. In order to officially disagree there must be a 2/3 majority of citizens who disagree with the election results.
C) The cutoff time for nominations is 48 hours prior to the election.
D) Only Badlands citizens may be nominated.

7. The vote will be held over a 48 hour span

8. There will be at least a 14 day notice as to what day the election will be held.

9. The winner will be chosen by simple majority.

10. In the case of a tie, an intervention by mm AND the current mod will decide.
OR
The two candidates with the least votes will be stricken from the ballot and there will be a secondary election. This election will be held immediately.

11. Secondary elections will last as long as the original.

12. The ballot itself will be a thread with a cutoff date.
A) The time zone used for this cutoff will be Central Standard Time.

13. The term of office will be as long as missmanners dictates or until the person holding said office resigns.
A) The current length of office is four months.

14. There is no limit to how many times a person may hold the office.
A) Once a person has served one term, they must wait one full term before they may be reelected.

15. We withhold the right to amend this Spamstitution at a later date, should the need arise.

16. If you don't like these rules, don't post here. We don't like you anyway.

17. In the case that any of these rules need arbitration, missmanners will be the arbiter. No exceptions.
 
I adjusted the one term at a time rule.

Also, I added the length of office. It is four months, right?

I also added the caveat that we can amend at a later date once this has been completely ratified.

I'd suggest stickying it as it's own thread and locking it with the master list of citizens as the second post. All other amendments may go under it.

Of course, this is only theory, not everbody will vouch for somebody, but that's why I was opposed to the idea of giving every new citizen 3 vouchers. As I said - pyramid scheme.
Anyway, you have changed the amount of vouchers and added that the person vouched for must have posted in te BL, so I guess it should work.

That's why I added #3ssD. If we don't like someone on the list, we can protest it, but it had to be more than one person who was protesting it.
#5 also helps to rid the list of those who don't post down here regularly.

I've tried to make it as foolproof as possible.

Though, I'm sure that people will find loopholes eventually.
 
This whole election thing is already getting boring, and lets face it, its going to come back to burn us all eventually.

What happened to Ily, Pickle and maybe LC as mods, and leaving it at that?
 
Then Make Pickle and LC mods like everyone wanted and agreed on originally. Simple solution.

How could MM makes it all complicated, and suddenly everyone starts dancing? Cut the strings. She just wants everything to get all fucked up, so she can laugh about it in her pool with her little mugentards.

Err, did you really expect that after months of not even saying a word about the matter missmanners has a change of mind and just complies to your wishes? If yes, please take a look at the banner, it says Troll Kingdom. She is the fucking owner of a fucking troll board, and, as Gonad reminded me, an expert rules troll in her own rights. Of course she makes it complicated. :phprolleyes:

Now, you might call my playing along with her "dancing", I call it having fun. What about you? You were one of those calling for a change, pm'ing mm (I guess) about a new mod... she presents you with the possibility of doing exactly that, and what do you do? Instead of taking what she's offering, you pout like a child who's mom has bought the wrong brand of ketchup.

You know, the sad thing is that if those of you who were so hot to get a new mod would have participated constructively in this and other related threads, we could almost have finished this and DP would already be mod.

As it is, all that will be proven is that mm was right to ignore you in the first place, Conchaga, Dual, Yub and I will have had a few days of fun, and nothing will change (except falconarg will become mod and heaven knows who will take my place in two months). Yep, she will laugh, but I suspect it will be less at those who "danced" with her than those who watched from the side line sulking.

Ily's gonna quit and needs an heir.

Who are you speaking of?

This came unexpectadely. Its the beginning of the year-I am busy at work, TK has been loading slow, I want it-its fine-but its a little bit like "Hey we are doing this-and you have a day to do it" I am exagerating-but that is what it feels like. You can't rush sex, and you can't rush this, so just slow the fuck down and seduce me some more.
 
I was referring to DP, who still hasn't uttered a word, Sniper Kitty (obviously), and, at that time, you. What I was seeing was that those who cared the less about it were trying to make it work while you guys were silent, and I commented on the irony of that.

See, I have seen you guys post in other non-related threads, and I was just wondering why there wasn't even as much as a "hey, this comes unexpectedly, let's think about it" from any of you (until now). I know, this is a slam-bam-thank you ma'am kind of fuck, but we will have time for the seduction and oil-massaging and slow deep-kissing later, so why not go with the flow this time?
 
LOL! I'm just teasing you. You have a point. I don't know why we haven't commented on it. Pickle is high probably. He also will have more time coming up shortly.
