I liked the flashbacks.

ESPECIALLY the ones in part 2.

I didn't really enjoy each and every flashback and I did groan a little when it went back to them, but I think they had a place in episode. It was a good idea to show how these characters had changed from where they were on the colonies. Might just have been better to use more defining moments in their lives than "that time Lee had a pigeon in his house".

Perhaps he is such a dull character that that was the most interesting thing that had ever happened to him
