Was the world black and white before colour tv was invented?

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
I think so.

Absolutely. And people DID move around and walk that fast in the 1920's.

Yes, and yes.

Colour was invented ten minutes into The Wizard Of Oz.

People were shocked. Literally, there were batteries in the theatre seats.

Hitler eats batteries.

BOOM BOM

Nobody spoke, either, until the talkies were introduced in film.

No, no, you guys are very confused. Color (or colour, as is Wacky's and C2's preferred spelling) was extamt since the beginning of time. However, with the advent of photography, around the time of the American Civil War, things got stupid, and everything became black and white for many MANY years (until those 1st ten minutes into the Wizard of Oz, as Wacky pointed out).

Things were sepia-tone before they were color.

I knew THAT.
