I want to smell dark matter
Pretty great! Pretty FRACKING great!!

Just wanted to get the obligatory use of the word "frack" out of the way.

Great effects, as usual. Maybe a bit better than usual, even! Bodes well for season four.

Good to see Cain again and Michelle Forbes was excellent as always. I did think she went from "we're not out for revenge" to shooting her XO in the head a bit too quickly, but I suppose she was lying when she made that speech. I suppose it helps you understand her a bit more, but she's still an evil hobitch and there's no excuse for killing the civilians really! It's surprising there was never an attempted mutiny against her, but I suppose like Starbuck said "safer with her than without her." But where was the lesbian sex scene!?!?!?/

Shaw was a good tragic character type. We didn't really get to see much of her personality but I suppose the point was that her whole personality was lost in her journey to becoming a "razor". Liked the scenes with her and Starbuck. Actually liked the scene with the regular cast members (like the final Lee/Adama scene) more than the flashbacks but I suppose that's natural since they're the characters we've been watching for four years.

The Adama flashback was probably the most intriguing scene. What was with him hearing the hybrid's voice when he put his hand into the resurrection tank? Who were the two prisoners behind the door? The guy sounded like Doral and looked like him a bit (though we didn't see his face) so possibly he was supposed to be the guy the Doral model was based on? And the blond girl? Six? STARBUCK!? Also, when old Adama found out that the cylons look like humans now how come he didn't mention the fact that he once saw the cylons experimenting on humans?

The hybrid: Well, I suppose we'll see how this plays out in season four. One thing I thought was that the hybrid sounded a lot like (and looked a bit like) Leonard Nimoy! It would have been cool if they'd gotten Nimoy to play him. Or Dirk.

OVERALLY I'D GIVE IT FOUR TIGH'S EYES OUT OF FIVE.

I LOVE SPOILERS!!!

I won't have to wait long to see it on TV. Now I can't wait.

I didn't even mention the old school cylons!

I saw pictures of them, I think in a link that fuddlemiff posted.. they are cool!

I feel like reviewing all of season three now TO SEE IF IT WAS REALLY AS BAD AS PEOPLE SAY.

DO IT!!!

Season 3 was bad in comparison to season 1 & 2, but I still thought it was a great show. If only they had left out some of the useless drama, and silly standalone episodes it would have been TITS.

LEONARD NIMOY TO PLAY FINAL CYLON

I loved it too. Infact, up until I read your season 3 review I was thinking Razor was my favourite episode ever, but no, Exodus Part II still has that honour.

I expected to dislike Kendra since she was just a vehicle for the audience to see all these key moments in Pegasus's past and I thought they'd make a half arsed attempt to flesh her out and give her a personality. But perhaps thankfully, they really, really didn't. Obviously for most of the episode she was a brainwashed razor, so we don't expect her to be well rounded and interesting, but if you look at the scene when she boards Pegasus, she's the same there. Aside from being scared during the attack, she's completely wooden and lacking a personality. I'm glad they did this, since it was also inevitable that she'd die at the end and there's nothing worse than the "emotional" death of a character who we have nothing invested in due to poor writing. In this case, we don't have much invested in her because we're not supposed to.

One of the main reasons I loved this episode was because of my nerdy interest in the effects sequences. I'm really impressed with the job they've done with Razor and the flashbacks. Not only do the sequences look amazing, but they're filled with great little details. Pegasus's civilian fleet has the Rising Star from the original series, the Pegasus has a Landram in its flight pod and the Cylons are using a Basestar design that's a hybrid of the original series and RDM ones. Not to mention that we saw a new battlestar design that's one of the concepts originally put forward for the Galactica. It's all just so snazzy. Oh and Starbuck's line after they eject from the raptor... you couldn't make it up.

^I didn't notice any of that, lol. Except that the effects were really good.

I forgot to mention Shaw going all Picard in First Contact on "Ensign Lynch". A bit pointless too since they were planning on nuking the basestar anyway.

I thought that too, especially since killing him meant the Cylons were no longer distracted. I wondered why there weren't more of them to stop Kendra from getting to their hybrid and blowing the whole place up, but I suppose they'd all been killed or were flying raiders.

I hope they reference these events a couple of times in season 4, just to tie things together a bit more.

By your command.
