Yes, I'm fully aware that they'll make a bunch of unnecessary changes (I can spot a few in the trailer) and miss many of the subtleties and nuances and have too many slow-motion action scenes and shit...but at least it'll LOOK amazing.

I still haven't read Watchmen but it still looks like something I'll need to see. The only bits I didn't like (from a technical perspective, since I don't know the story) were the tank being pulled apart and some of the shots with ice or glass. They all needed a lot more detail, particles and so on, but I'm sure they'll fix that before it goes on the big screen.

I read the books about ten years ago, so I probably should brush up on them before the movie. But yeah, that trailer is fucking awesome. I like the slowed down version of the Smashing Pumpkins song they use too.
