!'Harry Potter's' Hermione 'Will Be Back'
Actress will return for more magical adventures
March 19, 2007
Despite reports to the contrary, Emma Watson will most likely return to play Harry Potter pal Hermione Granger for the final two films in the popular children's franchise.
"We're extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven," says a spokesperson for Warner Bros.
Rumors had been circulating that Watson, 16, was weary of her role as the brainy and plucky Hermione after a News of the World story quoted fellow "Potter" actor Rupert Grint as claiming she "doesn't want to do it anymore. She's tired of being known as 'that girl from "Harry Potter."'"
The boy wizard himself, Daniel Radcliffe, recently signed on to continue his turn as Harry Potter in the final two films. The sixth, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,," is scheduled to begin filming in the next few months.
J.K. Rowling's final installment of the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," has already been setting records in advance of its scheduled release in bookstores this coming July.
