Because I'm Irish I will never give up potatoes!!!
Because I'm Irish I'm contrary.
There is a foul and evil rumour going around that LE SPUD gives ya diabetes...
Accordingly I had some broiled salmon with garlic and herbs, a Spanish medley of veggies (red peppers, onions, yellow beans, peas) AND MASHED POTATERS!!
now a splash of ice wine for dessert.
fuck it.
the gym will still be there tomorrow.
btw, when I have a "splash" of ice wine, please do not infer that I am inferring moderation of the consumption of alchoholic drinks at TK - gods forbid! - it is merely that ice wine is very dear and one should sip it sparingly.
....Unless, of course, one is some nouveau riche boor who can afford to guzzle it at will, in which case I say "carry on, oaf ."
I just heated up a bunch of leftover ingredients: grilled chicken, marinara sauce, some mixed veggies, and threw them in a big bowl with some quickly boiled rice, and VOILA! Something tasty to eat AND I'm cleaning out the fridge!
My GOD why doesn't someone start that statue of me?
At the moment I am just sipping some Welch's Grape Soda. For dinner tonight I will enjoy a hearty bowl of lima beans and ham (made with left over Christmas Honey Baked ham) and cornbread muffins, YUMMMM!!
I just made 2 homemade Egg McMuffins using "healthy" ingredients: Egg Beaters, Healthy Choice ham, soy cheese slices and margerine. On a real Thomas' english muffin. Through my multi-step cooking process, I managed to retain the savory in spite of the components. They were quite good.
