I teach developmentally disabled children, as well. At least I do now! WOOT!

isn't that a very stressy profession? I mean, these children have so many problems and sometimes you simply can't help them , no matter how hard you try. Do you carry all these problems home with you or do you manage to switch off after work?

I used be a carer for three intellectual challenged people. The only stresses I suffer were at the hands of the other carers. If you simply accept that little to no headway is to be made and that that progress in and of itself will happen with glacier like slowness, it's simply and matter of learning the various behaviours of your clients and the triggers that will incite the negative ones. That and having no aversion to cleaning up all kinds of bodily fluids [and solids]. That said, it's not work anyone can do.

However, I did have an interesting week. I added another professional "certification" as a "Lean Specialist" which basically means that my company can now spend MORE money on me to go become a "Master Lean Specialist". Hopefully it won't be any time soon, I dislike business travel, I was burned out on it years ago.
I'm also a Six Sigma "Black Belt". As well as a certified IPC (610) Trainer, and no you aren't getting my cert #. Those interested enough can figure it out from there.
