There was just one bit in Shovel Knight where I had to jump from one ladder to another while enemies were flying in and I kept falling off down to the next screen and losing health and it got too annoying so I gave up. But I do keep trying to go back to it since it's a good game!
Here are the games on eshop I think are excellent (and also aren't hard super-precise platformers), idk which all you've played:
Axiom Verge
Stardew Valley
Wonderboy in Monster World
Thumper
Cave Story
Steamworld Dig 2
Enter the Gungeon
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Oxenfree
Axiom Verge, Cave Story, Wonderboy, and Steamworld Dig are Metroidvanias
Enter the Gungeon and Necrodancer are roguelikes so that might be too hard for you? But Necrodancer is a top 10 all-time for me.
Thumper is a p hard rhythm game
Stardew is a pleasant farming sim, Oxenfree a bratty teen simulator with great story and dialogue.
I downloaded that a few weeks ago. It's cute and funny, but I'm not great at the actual golf part so that could be a problem. And the game does a pretty poor job explaining what you're actually supposed to be doing or what the rules of golf are.
