First time I accessed the Internet was great, but the first time I managed to use a DOS terminal proggy to access a BBS was fucking awesome.

I like looking at old computer ads

The price of a computer, upgrades and everything else , it was crazy back then

But since it was cutting edge technology, people didn't seem to care

My first PC was a XT, 8 MHz CPU and 640 kb RAM

30 Mbyte HD

And I was probably happier with it than with the badass PC I have today

My first PC was a PCjr and I had it MAXED. @ 2 x5 1/2 floppy drives RGB full color 14" monitor, 640K RAM and a 1200 baud modem. I was a BEAST on Usenet back in the day. I think my HD was either 10 or 20 MB...maybe 50 I forget.

Then came Windows 3.1 I was a DOS/COBOL master

I worked at Radio Shack back then and did some programming on the TRS-80 in COBOL so it was essentially a trade.
