Why in the fuck do they show that shit on ESPN?
 
Because non-sports nuts like me can play it and win.

Because it involves a level of sportsmanship on behalf of the players.

They should make Game Board Channel; you could watch people play Settlers of Catan or Axis & Allies.

I ran a weekly game for almost 20 years. $5 mostly in the early running, then $20 buy-in later.

Had a few $100 buy-ins.

Still have all my clay chips imprinted with my own denominations.

I am in favor of any sport where you can eat appetizers and drink alcoholic beverages while playing it.
