When the AT-ATs first appear in The Battle of Hoth. When Luke beheads Vader during the Jedi Trial, and the mask explodes to reveal his own face. The scenes of Jubilation immediately after the destruction of both Death Stars.

The only bit I count as epic events from the prequals are the Windu / Palpatine and Anakin / Obi-Wan duals.

Obi Wans lizard dying is the saddest moment in the entire prequels.

That bit at the end of the 66 order sequence where the 6 year old "youngling" (uuurgh) says "master skywalker, there are two many of them, what are we going to do?" is really shit.

Couldn't they have got someone who acts proper like craig charles to say it?

I think it's because the Jedi kids were rehearsing a play but they were all bad actors and he was still in character when he said it. Anyway, Anakin killed the bastard.

The best bit in star wars was always when Han and Chewie were running after the stormtroopers and came to a dead end.

Of course they had to ruin that for the sequals by making them run into a hanger with a million other troopers and walkers and shit

I thought there were a few stormtroopers there in the original version and they just added a lot more in the special edition?

The original showed Han was all bravado, chasing the troopers because they were running away, as soon as the troopers couldnt run any more and had to turn and fight, he ran away from them.

Now he is running away from 16,000 if them its a different kettle of fish altogether.
