Gonad
DON'T FUCK WITH MY TITLE BITCH
I have some advice.
1) Until you are in an exclusive relationship/used the "love" word, you are allowed to date more than one person at the same time. We as females know to expect it from males, and it is okay for us to do the same thing.
2) Now that we have established the possibility of maintaing two relationships, we must decipher your heart and mind and understand what you really want.
2a) A casual relationship? - We have already established that this is not what you want.
2b) A serious relationship? - I believe the difficulty here is your concern about the amount of emotional investment involved.
2c) No relationship? - The difficulty here is the nature of human beings to share in some sort of relationship, whether platonic or romantic.
3) Now that we have broken out your options, you must apply a combination of these options for your current situation.
Remember -- No jerks! If you wish you may discuss these specimen with me at length, and I can provide insight that may or may not be original/useful.
The other factor is you. I am aware of a budding relationship that did not work out for reasons that are not entirely known to me. How did you feel about relationships before, during, and after that situation? Think about it. Compare and analyze.
Ultimately, I suggest that you do what feels comfortable and good to you, and stick with that feeling no matter what. There is no reason to overthink things, unless you enjoy overthinking things.
