that time went backwards and the Earth spun the other way, why didn't his duality make him sense the presence of another of his own kind and feel a burning need to cut off his own head?
 
Technically he flew so fast that just he travelled in time, he didn't turn the Earth around that was just a visual way of showing his time travel.
 
Wasn't the Earth still spinning the same direction in the past?
 
Yes. The Earth spinning the other way was just a way of showing Superman travelling through time. Superman did not literally change the direction the Earth spins.
 
So, you are saying that we were an outside observer, watching time reserves from a fixed point in time? Didn't Einstein state that was impossible? Otherwise, the man on a train moving at the speed of light could throw a baseball faster than the speed of light.

You ever notice how in comic books it's always like you're this invisible, intangible person who can move infinitely fast constantly following the hero around? How does that work?!?!?!?!?!?!
 
Same in tv shows. You're sitting there for an hour watching these guys every move and they don't even look at you. Not even when you're watching them fuck or kill somebody. Bunch of crazies.
 
There was something disturbingly familiar about the letter before me. The handwriting was all pretty curves.

The truth was a burning green crack through my brain. Weapon statistics hanging in the air, glimpsed out of the corner of my eye. Endless repitition of the act of shooting, time slowing down to show off my moves. The paranoid feel of someone controlling my every step.

I was in a computer game.

Funny as hell, it was the most horrible think I could think of.

In my mind, Superman goes back in the past to find the earlier version of himself, only so he could offer his past self head at super-speeds.
