Where do you live?

We could meet in Lebanon, Kansas.
Might have to bring the beer and fries with us.
I don't do beer or fried food but I'd be happy to bring iced tea and cheese sandwiches.

Filthy Whore:

Is that the center of the country?

Pretty close. Its not quite a 10-hour drive away from me. Going to make it a short vacation destination. There ought to be something significant at the center of the country.

Sorry Jack, the internet doesn't agree with you.

From the time of the 1912 additions of New Mexico and Arizona, until the 1959 additions of Alaska and Hawaii, the NGS placed the geographic center of the entire United States at a point near the town of Lebanon, Kansas. Since 1959 this location still stands as the Geographic Center of the Contiguous United States, while the geographic center of the entire U.S. moved to a point northeast of Belle Fourche, South Dakota. source

It doesn't sound like a promising vacation destination, the population is only 218.

If your route goes over Trail Ridge Road, that is an awesome drive. At the top of that road, in the middle of nothing much but the road cut through 20 foot high snow banks, there is an outpost complete with a cute dog that has the job of being a cute dog - seriously.

The center of the country, 218 plus people, crudites, french fries, beer, and the lining of someone's stomach. Sounds like a fabulous get together.

Now, if we all bring our own personal noise makers it should be outstanding.
