Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

Around...2008 or so, I was doing reservist work for the Marines and got deployed to Thailand for an exercise. I brought my personal laptop because we were there for awhile and it was a 9-5 sort of exercise. Pornography is illegal in Thailand. So to this day the porn folder in my laptop is named "Portland Stuff."

Which is a little confusing because the porn folder in my browser is named "Naughtiness" while the "Portland Stuff" folder on my browser has Websites about Portland.

If I were going to introduce someone to classic Dr. Who, I would go with the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker. And from a purely intellectual/academic standpoint, I'd go with his first season. We get regeneration. We get U.N.I.T. We get Daleks and Sontarans and Cybermen. It really is a textbook intro to Dr. Who. But when it gets down to it, I'd likely got with "The Horror of Fang Rock" and/or "The Talons of Weng Chiang". Atmospheric 19th century England horror pieces with Leela as sidekick. Quite engaging and well produced. The giant rat in "...Weng Chiang" and the Rutan alien in "...Fang Rock" are classic classic Who monsters--in that they are incredibly cheesy and low-budget, but the strength of the rest of the story(s) lets you look past that.
