White House releases new timeline for President Biden’s visit to Wilmington
The White House has released new details regarding President Joe Biden’s visit to Wilmington on Thursday, May 2. The president will leave Joint Base Andrews around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, headed for Charlotte. He is expected to land at Charlotte Douglas International Airport before 1:00 p.m., and he plans to pay respects to the law enforcement officers killed or wounded in the line of duty on Monday. “The President will meet with families of the fallen heroes, the wounded law enforcement officers, and other law enforcement officers and elected officials,” according to a release sent by The White House. President Biden is then expected to travel to Wilmington, landing at Wilmington International Airport just before 4 p.m. Thursday. The itinerary then calls for the president to travel to Wilmington Convention Center, where he will speak about his Investing in America agenda, and how it is rebuilding infrastructure and creating jobs. The event is not open to the public. President Biden is expected to leave Wilmington International Airport aboard Air Force One at around 6:05 p.m. Thursday, landing at Joint Base Andrews around 7 p.m. and then heading back to The White House.
