This is my current team on FM09. Didn't cheat. Got overtaken by a Chinese businessman who injects tons of money in to the team allowing me to sign Ronaldo in a earth shattering 97m bid. In 3rd season but first with Ronaldo who is bringing a staggering return already. Sold Arsharvin for 25m to partly fund the move because he was bitching too much. Tried to pry Messi from Barca in a 45m bid which activated his release claus but he turned me down.
I'll try again after I hopefully win the Champions League.
Jesus, I never get that far. I have a few regens coming through now but it's still very early and I'm developing them in the reserves. I usually get bored after about 6-7 seasons when I dominate the planet.
Did take Brighton to Champions League glory and top of the Prem 3 seasons in a row with 08. Took me a decade though.
Valencia

So far, Pompey & Dallas are the only teams to have sacked me. Pompey because I applied elsewhere, Dallas, because I had no cash & couldn't understand the fucking silly American transfer system, and couldn't get any decent players in.
That's my current Lyon squad. Just realised there's more than one original player in there. I have a 37 year old Abou Diaby & 39 year old Carlos Karmeni in the squad, alongside Henri Saivet, who still slaps in the goals & Lloris is still in goal. They're off screen at the bottom.
Players also tend to take longer to retire in FM09. Ferdinand retired at 41, for instance.
Next time there is a relatively big game on that you're watching on a p2p stream as opposed to at the pub or on tv we need to open a thread and have a running commentary.
Great idea! On another note, I got my first Greek footy shirt this week. A retro AEK Athens one from Nike. It's so full of win. Don't give a snuff about the club!
It's so funny here. The rivalries are hilarious. AEK, Panathanikos and Olympiakos are the big three in Greece and I have friends who support all three and the bitching is just the same as having a bunch of Arsenal, Liverpool and United fans at the same table.
Greek footy has really masivley improved since they won the Euro. They have some nice prospects here and they play good flowing football.
Torres and Kaka are obviously cream of the crop and any team would kill to have them play for them *cough* Man City *cough* but they're not quite on the level of Ronaldo and Messi.
