Why didn't Dean Stockwell play Daniels on ENTERPRISE?

That was The Role Dean Spockwell should've played on ENT.

Not that Herbert drip Tandaran mudstick Colonel Grat.

It was so obvious too.

Yet another ball B&B dropped.

& a perfect spin on Quantum Leap.

Well it probably would've ruined the "this normal ensign is actually a time agent guy", as once you see Dean Stockwell you know he's not going to be just an ensign.

Plus the fact that you'd have to come up with a reason why someone a lot older than Archer is subordinate to Archer.

And the fact that Dean Stockwell simply might not have been available for a reoccurring role in the series.

Is this real life?
He could've been played by that gay guy and then pressed a button on his clothes and hey-presto, turned into Dean Stockwell. I agree, would've been a good role for him. Would have been really distracting to have him alongside Scott Bakula, playing a fairly similar role as Al, though.

He should have been played by the guy who played Daniels in First Contract and Insurrection, just to be really confusing.

"Fun" fact: the guy who played Daniels in the TNG movies played Jessica Fletcher's favourite nephew Grady in many episodes of 'Murder She Wrote'.

Another "fun" fact tomorrow.

Dean Spockwell could've played the NX-01's undepicted chef.

Actually, the late Isaac Hayes should've been cast as the NX-01's chef.

Spockwell could then play Older Daniels maybe, or some other character.

Ziggy must be shoehorned in somehow.
