Woulda been cool! Ian would've joined veteran character actor journeyman Jason Wingreen, Clive Revill, and recently MR. SULU in the small circle of performers who've done BOTH Trek AND Wars. But that woulda SUCKED Donkey Kong bowls for the dude who DID play Moriarty, who was quite excellent as Moriarty. Of course the reverse is true, the dude who played Moriarty could've played the Emperor in the Prequel Trilogy had Ian McDiarmid NOT been available.
